CAMPGROUND 

  • ​​​​​Five (5) M.P.H speed limit in campground - including visitors.


  • Please DO NOT feed the geese


  • Check-in and check-out time is 12pm noon. If you would like to stay later, please let us know. If the site is available you may stay until 4:30pm for a small fee. 


  • All guests must register at the office upon arrival. There is a $10 fee for an over-night guest which includes a parking permit. Overnight-guest must leave by 10am the following day. 


  • There is a $5 fee for a day-guest which includes a parking permit. All day-guests must leave by 10pm. 


  • Quiet time is 10PM to 8AM. All children must be back at their site unless accompanied by a parent. No loud music at any time No fireworks of any kind. 


  • No repairing or washing vehicles at Susquehanna Shores Campground. 


  • No bicycle riding after dark. Pennsylvania State law requires all children under 12 to wear helmets when riding bikes, skateboards, electric scooters, rollerblades, scooters, or roller skates. No playing on playground after dark. No ATVs, snowmobiles, or golf carts permitted on campground. 


  • Parents are responsible for the actions and safety of their children at all times. No children under the age of 18 are to be left at the campground without a parent or guardian. Please watch your children when in the river, the current runs very fast and can be dangerous. 


  • No trespassing on neighbors property. Respect other campsites. Never walk through someone else's campsite. Keep off steep banks. Please use boat ramp to access the river. 


  • Only one car per site and one camping unit per site, unless arranged with the office. 


  • PA state law prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages for persons under the age of 21. ​Please do not leave your alcohol unattended, and all beverages must be covered when walking to and from campsites. 


  • No grey water hoses to drain on the ground or into the river. 


  • Pick-up after your animal on the campground and also on the river bank. Keep animals leashed and under control at all times. Also, excessive barking will not be tolerated. No dogs with a biting history will be allowed. 


  • Campfires are allowed in the provided fire rings only. Because of the recent Pennsylvania Firewood Quarantine no outside firewood is allowed. We do sell firewood at the camp store. All campfires must be extinguished if you are not at your campsite. Do not let fire smolder. 


  • No refunds for early departure or inclement weather.


  • Bath house and grounds are maintained regularly, if you notice any problems please let us know!


  • Sites should be kept clean. All trash removed from the site and fire ring upon departure. Do not move fire rings. 


  • No cutting, removal, destruction or injury to any tree or shrub. Please do not cut saplings. Violations will result in fines and/or eviction.


  • Anyone 16 or older if required to have a Pennsylvania Fishing license to fish.


  • There are no lifeguards at the river. Swim at your own risk. Weak or inexperienced swimmers should NOT swim in the river without a companion/adult who is a strong swimmer. Parents MUST supervise minors when they are swimming.


  • ​Boat operators are responsible for knowing the rules and regulations pertaining to watercraft in the areas in which they boat. Operators are responsible for the actions of all persons aboard their watercraft.
  • ​PA Law requires: (1) Every person in the watercraft to have a wearable (in good & serviceable condition) U.S. Coast Guard-approved PFD/Life vest; (2) Children under the age of 12 to wear vests and be accompanied by an adult; (3) Proper navigation lights on board boats after sunset.  (4); A sound-producing device be on board boats (whistle, horn, etc.); (5) All boats which use an electric motor to be registered and display a valid sticker.



This property is privately owned. The camper or visitor accepts camping or visiting privileges with the understanding that he/she does hereby release Susquehanna Shores Campground for the loss or damage to his/her property and/or injury to his/her person arising out of the use of its camping facilities. Susquehanna Shores Campground assumes no responsibility for loss by fire, theft, windstorm, water damage, hail, etc. by equipments owned, leased or rented by the camper of the/a visitor. Susquehanna Shores Campground reserves the right to refuse service to and/or evict any person for failure to abide by the campground's rules and regulations.  ​  





Q:When do you take reservations for the new camping season?

A: March 1st

Q: When do you open for the season?

A: Approximately mid-April to mid-October, weather permitting. 


Q: What is the difference between the monthly seasonal rate and the seasonal rate? 

A: The monthly seasonal camping option is defined as 7 days 7  nights per week. The seasonal camping option is defined as 3 days 2 nights per week only, with one week vacation included. 

Q: Do you have winter storage? 

A: Yes, it is a flat rate of $150 for the winter. If you are a seasonal camper with us.


Q: What are the check-in and check-out times? 

A: Check-in and check-out time is at 12 noon.

​Q: Can we have visitors while camping? 

A: Yes, you can. All visitors must register at the office. There is a $10 fee for an over-night guest, which includes a parking permit. Overnight-guest must leave by 10AM the following day.

Q: Are campfires allowed?

Q: Can we bring our pets?

A: Yes, you are allowed two pets per site. They must be kept on a leash at all times. They can not be left unattended. They poop, you scoop everywhere including, the riverbank. No, excessive barking will be tolerated. A copy of pet shot records is required upon reservation. Guests and visitors are not allowed to bring pets. 


​Q: Do you have any age restrictions? 

A: The minimum age to rent a campsite is 21 years old. 


Q: Are fireworks allowed?

A: Absolutely no fireworks are allowed. 


Q: Are firearms allowed? 

A: No, firearms are not allowed. Including: BB guns, pellet guns, paintball guns, are not permitted. 


Q: How many persons can occupy each campsite? 

A: All sites are based on two (2) adults & two (2) children seventeen and under. Any additional visitors are $10 over-night or $5 for the day. Two pet maximum. 


Q: What comes with each campsite? 

A: All campsites are equipped with a fire ring and a picnic table. You have options of sites with water, electric & sewer. Or sites with water & electric. 


Q: Is alcohol allowed? 

A: Yes, please do not leave your alcohol unattended, and all beverages must be covered when walking to and from campsites. 


Q: Quiet time? 

A: Quiet time is 10PM to 8AM. All children must be back at their site unless accompanied by a parent. No loud music at any time. No fireworks of any kind. 


Q: Is there internet? 

A: Yes, free to use. Please keep in mind it is not site-specific. 


Q: Is there a boat launch? 

A: Yes, it is a private boat launch. It is free to use if you are camping with us. $5 for guests or visitors to launch a boat. Or $3 if fishing from shore. 


Q: Can I bring my boat? 

A: Yes, one boat per site. $5 for guests or visitors to launch a boat. Or $3 if fishing from shore. 


Q: Is a Fishing License required?

A: Yes, anyone 16 or older is required to have a Pennsylvania Fishing license to fish.  To get your fishing license, please visit:
